About the Author
Herman “Hank” Rosen graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and served as a ship’s officer during WWII in the Atlantic, Pacific, Mediterranean, and Middle East. He was awarded the Combat Ribbon with Star, the Merchant Marine Mariner’s Medal and the Victory Medal of the Great Patriotic War, by the Russian Government. After the war, he earned a Master’s Degree for from New York University and enjoyed a successful career in public relations and fundraising. He lives in San Diego with his wife Susan. They have three children and two grandchildren.
