April awakens in a hospital. All April knows for sure is that she was gone and now she's here, she punched her best friend in the eye and it was absolutely necessary, and finally, her best friend Sandy might lose that eye... April would have done anything to trade places with Sandy when the punch landed.

It all started with those damn books, April thought. "These books weren't there before. They suddenly appeared...like magic," Sandy said.

In this fast-paced adventure April joins her friend Sandy in accepting a Magikal inheritance to fight Evil on sea-swept Aquidneck Island. Using Laws of Magik, taught by their aunts Penny and Melissa, they must save their friend Mandy from Courtney and the Seeds of Evil. Unfortunately, Evil holds the key.

About the Author

Originally from the Niagara Falls area, A. Valentine Smith now makes his home in Newport, Rhode Island with his wife and two boys. This is his first novel, a novel he never intended on writing. The inspiration for the tale came during a time-consuming trip to repair eyeglasses, as if the story was being transcribed into the author's mind.
