About the Author

Nancy Byam was born in Tewksbury, MA in 1948. She attended Abbot Academy, University of Michigan, and Harvard University where she earned a Masters Degree in Education Administration and Planning. She worked as a Planner for the Massachusetts Education Agency and as a news reporter and technical writer for various computer manufacturers. Her first poetry was published when she was 21 years old. Her first short story, The Artist, was published at Philips Academy, when she was 15 years old. Her travels have taken her to Egypt, the Canary Islands, Russia, Greece, and all through South America.
