About the Book

Do you remember your first encounter with the word of God? What were you, maybe 4 or 5 years old? I think back to what my cognitive powers might have been at that age and have to think that in all reality I was being prepared for the day when the biblical figures I was coloring and singing about would have a deeper meaning. As I grew older and became more involved with the people around me and developed relationships with them I began to use some of the moral guidance learned during those formative years. I do know that I am not the same person I was 35 years ago and if any of us are, then we have defied the very laws of nature and God that define humanity! For every day is a learning experience and should make a change in us to improve our lot in life. I left home at the age of 17 to start my adventures in life because I felt at that time like I was the only one in the world going through the pains of growing up with no one to talk to about it. That´s one of the lessons of Christ´s teachings that fall on deaf ears when you are young (they wouldn´t understand). My life would have been altered drastically if I had not lived it exactly as I had. I would not have been taught the value of obeying Gods commandments or the pain of disobeying them. God´s laws, but mans punishment! I would not have seen the World through the same eyes. I wouldn´t have met my wife of 32 + years nor would I have produced 4 wonderful children who have given me 6 even more wonderful grandchildren! All of the great and even some of the not-so-great people and events that have had an effect on my view of life and God´s plans for me, have occurred after my youthful encounters with the ´Guardians of Society´. Sometimes we have to live life to experience it! You will read in the following pages some of the experiences that have affected my outlook on life as I see it today. Perhaps you will understand the moral lessons I have tried to convey to my children and grandchildren with each story. There is a lesson in each that was taught to me by life and my concept of what the ´right or wrong´ thing is. Some were written to convey a hidden meaning, while others were penned to just tell a humorous tale. I have a lot of these stories and it´s just a matter of time before they too are told. Some of them are just waiting for the correct moment. No story will appear in this book or any future publication as long as there are persons who could be hurt by the telling of that tale! These stories are intended to teach or entertain. They are not intended to point an accusing finger or blame anyone for my personal character flaws or faults. I alone am responsible for the situations resulting from my decisions. I encourage you to enjoy the following stories and remember that while based in part on some element of truth, they are for the most part fabricated to impart an element of moral value or to be humorous without being offensive to most of God´s children. I welcome all comments.
