About the Book
Elise Dodd is a normal nine-year-old girl who just happens to have an obsession with the half-eagle/half-lion mythological creature known as the Gryphon. While spending a summer vacation with her Uncle Danny in the mountains of Colorado, Elise finds that her uncle has a huge Agate, rumored for centuries to be the eggs of Gryphons. Uncle Danny humors Elise in her attempts to hatch this "egg" only to have his world turned upside down when she actually does it! Enter Gilly the Gryphon! Elise and Gilly´s adventures only begin as they evade the hounding news media, battle the local wildlife and save the town from an ancient fiery nightmare come to life.
About the Author
John Loprieno is a professional actor and screenwriter. Perhaps best known most for his portrayal of Cord Roberts on ABC's ONE LIFE TO LIVE, John has appeared on all three major networks on shows such as ER, SABRINA: THE TEENAGE WITCH and STAR TREK: VOYAGER. A produced playwright, John currently has two screenplays in development in Hollywood. John holds an MFA and is presently a member of the faculty at Moorpark College and UCLA Extension. John, his wife, Lisa and three children currently reside in Los Angeles, California.
