About the Book

Why was the world created, why was Moses chosen to be the leader of the Hebrew nation, why did the Hebrews have to wander in the desert for forty years, how old is the universe, was Adam the first man? Through the eyes of Kabbalah, we are taken on a journey that reveals answers hidden from us for centuries. How did a small group of rabbis manipulate and distort the teachings of the Torah and Talmud in order to impose their monolithic views of Judaism on the Jewish peoples? The role of women is explored to show the drastic changes in their status under the rabbis after the destruction of the Temple. The roles of the male and female energies, from Adam and Eve to the present, are viewed from the perspectives of both biblical and rabbinic interpretation. Through the use of Kabbalah, gematria, and twentieth century scientific discoveries, the hidden meanings woven into the simple biblical verses are reevaluated in a more sensible context. Through these ancient texts we find a greater confluence between science and the Bible. Once thought to be in direct conflict to each other, through the wisdom of Kabbalah we find that there is much knowledge contained within each of them and that they should be viewed as parts of a unified whole.
