About the Book

Lily is a widow and cancer survivor. More, she is a passionate, sensuous woman who despises the half-life of pristine Shaker Island where she is expected to be the “good widow”. She struggles between wanting to be loyal to her late husband and boomer children and desiring a new life without restrictions. She plans her escape under the guise of a two-week vacation and selects Lisbon, a place she knows nothing about, as her destination. There, she comes under the spell of Luis, who shows her it is possible to love again. While their relationship ends in tragedy, Lily discovers there are great rewards to be found in taking risks. Lily’s is “every woman’s story” as she overcomes her own self-imposed limitations and shares her new adventures with warmth, keen insight, and good humor.

About the Author

Bill Coulton is a former photojournalist whose photographs and stories about U.S. Air Force activities have been filed with newspapers worldwide. He is a prolific writer of novels and non-fiction works and has won regional and national awards. He resides in Atlanta with his wife.
