One summer night on routine assignment as a member of the Los Angeles Police Department’s elite Scientific Investigation Division, Steve Lomeli is gravely wounded while shooting it out with vicious car jackers targeting an innocent woman and her kids. During a near death experience, Steve is visited by crime scene victims he had photographed who transmit through continuing dreams, the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
After finding out about Steve Lomeli’s hidden past as an intelligence operative during the Persian Gulf War, corrupt police detectives assigned to Steve’s shooting investigation, to settle a past score, proceed to frame him for murder.
About the Author
Ron Campise was born of Native American, Sicilian and Japanese ancestry in Munich, Germany. He is currently a practicing Mahayana Buddhist. The stage of Ron’s lifetime experience includes jobs as a skid row hotel manager, bookbinder, poor student, medical photographer and reluctant spook. He was a visual media specialist who spent two years at the Rand Corporation during the Cold War and Persian Gulf War. Later Ron spent five years on the mean unforgiving streets of L.A. as a photographic Scientific Investigator with the Los Angeles Police Department. This is the first novel Ron is aware of writing.
