About the Book
A short history of the oil shale industry development (or non-development) of the 1970´s and 80´s. The book is written from the vantage point of a direct participant in one of the major projects. It consists largely of documented historical records of private industry and various levels of government. It concludes with some analysis and recommendations for future action. Since the history of oil shale cannot be divorced from controversy, the recommendations in the book will be considered controversial.
