About the Author

Bill Warren is a retired engineer and business executive who lives in Pasadena, California. Like his story’s hero, he attended UC Berkeley, graduating with a BS in 1950. He has written numerous magazine articles, many of them about maps and exploration, two of his passions. He is President of the California Map Society, and a Reader at both the Huntington and British Libraries. He became fascinated when the struggle over low-level nuclear waste disposal was brought to life on the Internet. The rhetoric and contradictory “facts” each side trumpeted are the meat of this fictional story. Nukin’ Denham wont please either faction as it explores the interweaving of environmentalism, politics, and money.
