About the Book

A rare green diamond leads Raine Jovansson across three continents, from the dusty plains of Kenya, to the sultry Indian Ocean breezes of Mombasa, to fashionable Buenos Aires and beyond.  The diamond is the key to lost riches of the fabled Sands of Ice – if such a place truly exists.

But Raine is not alone in her quest.  Also on the hunt for the Sands of Ice are Raine’s estranged twin sister, an ex-boyfriend, and mysterious others, all of whom have their reasons for reaching the legendary place.  Who will arrive first – and who is willing to kill to get there!

Find out in Sands of Ice, the first novel featuring red-haired amateur archaeologist Raine Jovansson, as she experiences adventure, danger, and romance on her quest.

About the Author

Born in Cherokee County, NC in 1970, Grace A. Punska has written stories as far back as she can remember. While in high school, she self-published a for-profit fiction magazine in the US and Canada for over 2 years. After getting her degree in communications from the University of Alabama in 1992, Grace worked as a reporter for Cape Publications (a division of Gannett), as a library worker, and as a purchasing agent for an electronics manufacturer. She currently lives in Melbourne, Florida with her husband Chris. While very comfortable with today’s computer technology, she also enjoys active vacations in the American West, counted cross-stitch, historical science, science fiction, and, of course, writing. “Sands of Ice” is her first novel.
