About the Book

Long before life on Earth began, a race of aliens created ten immortals to protect the universe from evil.  These Planet Guardians were the most powerful beings in the universe due to their magic weapons and their formidable birthright powers.  For years they fought sinister aliens that wanted to rule everything they could see.  But once humans were thriving on Earth during the Roman Empire, a group of new immortals were born.  They inevitably turned evil and they destroyed all but one of the Planet Guardians.  Only the Sun Guardian, known as Solix, survived to send the villains into a temporary exile from this universe.  He was left alone waiting for the return of these powerful humans.  His only companion was the sentient computer system of the guardians' base found in the center of the sun.

The year 2000 has arrived and with it comes signs of the threat returning.  Thankfully Solix has been able to find new immortals on Earth that can help him in the coming battle.  Each one has their own planet that they draw life from and unique powers that are at their command.  Edward Slane is an orphan with no memory of his birth parents, but with a dangerous urge to try anything no matter what the danger.  Only his powers of luck keep this Mars Guardian breathing.  Along with him is his tomboy girlfriend, Kelly Tavinowsky, who becomes the guardian of Venus.  While her powers are that of temporarily creating solid objects and animals from nothing, it is her skill in martial arts that gives her the muscle to back her mouth up.  Steven Vascotti is both the new Earth Guardian and Edward’s best friend since they were ten and started getting into fistfights.  While his true powers are that of telekinesis, his true strength lies in his ability to believe and prove almost anything that he wants.  The final new guardian is connected to Neptune and she is one of the most stuck up people to ever grace the galaxy.  Delila Mandervale III is formidable with her water-based powers even though her personality is usually that of a greedy empress.

All four of these teenagers will learn of the power that is their birthright and find that being a superhero isn’t as much fun as they thought.  None of them are even aware of their destiny, so Solix must work quickly to convince them to help him fight.  It is a race against time to get these four teenagers to make an unbreakable bond as a team and make sure that in the end they will the ones that are standing.  Through it all, the death of the original guardians is kept in the shadows, so that the new warriors are not scared into leaving.  Hoping that the alien technology and their new abilities will keep the four recruits occupied, Solix is determined to have them ready by the time the villains make their attack.  Or better yet, to have them ready for the first attack.

But the seductive leader of the evil immortals is also aware of their presence and she is willing to do whatever she can to make sure they don’t make it past their first battle.  Adriana manipulates and threatens all of the other immortals into joining under her sultry rule.  This blond beauty has the power to control any man that she wants and her resources are vast enough to make everyone else know what she is capable of.  Her only soft spot is her teenage daughter, Kilanus, who has been transformed from an innocent teen to an immortal killing machine due to an experiment.  All of the other villains are unique in their habits and birthright powers, but all of them seek to destroy both the guardians and to rule the universe.  Even though most times they are either about to kill each other or they are busy making hidden alliances, these nine maniacs still manage to get whatever they want.

While the villains are dealing with in-house conspiracies, the new Planet Guardians will come to find Solix’s

About the Author

If you ask any of my friends, my name is either Bob or Luke. My real name is Charles Edward Yallowitz and I am from East Meadow, New York. It was in high school that I joined some writing clubs and got started on my writing career. Currently, I am a junior at SUNY Oswego and I am working on an English Writing Arts major. I have entered several writing contests and have placed from 10th to 1st. I tend to dabble in several genres, but I stay in the realms of fantasy and science fiction. One of my current projects is making a world for a computer game that one of my friends is creating. A fantasy trilogy of mine has been posted on a website known as Tavernwench Journal. A lot of my stories are made for entertainment and I don’t try to make any philosophical point. All I desire is that I bring enjoyment to those who pick up one of my books and smile.
