About the Book

You cannot escape a message that bombards us in today’s cultural milieu. Soft sell, hard sell, subliminal and overt - it is everywhere.  Simply stated, this message is: “When you die, you don’t die.”  If that message is true, then it makes perfect sense to be doing everything we can to communicate with those no longer “living” on this earth.

If that message is not true, then thinking people must ask “Where is this message originating, and why?”  “The Choice” attempts to answer that question.

Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, Dan M. Appel takes a careful look at the message and the messengers behind it and comes to some startling conclusions.

Whether you agree with those conclusions or not, this novel will entertain you.  And, it is guaranteed to make you think!

About the Author

Dan M. Appel is a novelist and public speaker currently living in Martinez, California. A contrarian, his writing challenges the conventional thinking of our culture on a number of important current issues. “It seems to me,” he says, “that one of our greatest needs is for thinkers. Most people today are reflectors of other people’s thoughts and attitudes. Rather than thinking about the issues, we mindlessly accept what the media and others tell us to believe rather than finding out the truth for ourselves. There is nothing wrong with listening to what others believe,” he teaches, “but you need to process what you read and hear and ask if what you are being told is really true.” His first novel, “A Bridge Across Time,” has sold more than 100,000 copies in English, 100,000 copies in Spanish, and is being translated into Russian, Arabic, and Polish. “The Choice” is the first of a trilogy on current events and the philosophy which undergirds them.
