About the Book

Homme-Dieu is the story of a fallen god with an identity crisis who is watching the paradise around him fall apart and is wondering what his role is in the decline.  The Viernese are an ignorant people rooted in tradition who have developed complex rituals and beliefs to explain their utopia.  The story follows the Viernese struggles, both external and internal, with the integration of the darker side of the human condition.

About the Author

John de Guzmán was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. After graduating from MIT with a Chemical Engineering Degree, he has wandered from job to job while writing and trying to get published. A sample of the past few years: Sourcing projects while working at a management consulting firm, teaching GMAT preparation classes, full-time student studying jazz piano, working at internet startups and, most recently, independent consultant.
