About the Book

It’s a fast paced, action packed story of a young boy named Ross the Miller’s son. Raised on fairy tales, the lad is a bit of a daydreamer before he is suddenly orphaned when a fire-breathing dragon destroys his small village. A chance meeting with a beautiful elfin princess named Chandra, who befriends him, forces Ross to realize that Elves, Fairies, and Trolls are real.  Ross’ orderly life with the elves is torn apart when his innate ability for magic is discovered, and he his forced to move on.  He works for a shopkeeper, an itinerant artist, as well as a ship’s boy; until finally apprenticed to Chandra’s lover, a cruel Human wizard with his own agenda. In time, Ross will become known to the Elfin World, as Pendar: Teacher, Wizard, and Protector of the Elves. He sets out on an odyssey to find the Terrible Lord of the Skies.  However, had he known the price for taking revenge against the dragon, he would never have paid it!

About the Author

A native of the Midwest, this is Yvonne Stegman's first novel. A mother of three and a grandmother of four, She is currently living happily in Southern California with her husband of thirty-four years.
