About the Book

This mystery is a work of fiction; however, it deals with the greatest fear any parent can have - the absolute disappearance of their children.

In October 1972, in the small fictitious town of Farris Idaho, two eight-year-old girls disappeared from a playground. Despite the best efforts of the local police and the FBI, the girls were never found, and no clues were ever discovered. How could this happen here, in this small town where everyone knows everyone else, and doors are never locked? Twenty eight years later, school teacher, Carrie Haas, inherits her grandfather’s house and land in Farris. Having been recently divorced, she decides to accept the inheritance, and reinvent herself. She is hired as a sixth grade teacher, in that small idyllic town, where she spent many of her childhood summers.

Carrie has an adventurous spirt, and an insatiable curiosity, so when she hears about the disappearance she decides to do some research - just a little. As she digs deeper into the mystery it becomes obvious someone in town has a stake in stopping her, and her nightmare begins.

She has every intention of dropping her amateur investigation, and tells this to the County Sheriff, Mason Thayer. However, when her uncontrollable curiosity takes over, events spiral out of control. She unearths all the ugly, horrible, dark secrets from the past, and finds herself swept into a terrifying game of life and death.
