About the Author
Judy King has been a missionary in the Amazon forest for 30 years. Her interests range from biology to linguistics. She and her co-worker were the principle field linguists in the analysis of the Apurinã language, which is the setting of the Beakie stories. She has had many rescue pets over the years both from the forest as well as domestic animals. In short, she loves the four footed types. Beakie was a friend and was always close by in times of crisis. She was also active in the life of the village and an international traveler. She tells the story of a unique place on the planet and a unique interaction with people and other dogs. There are many tales to be told about Beakie The Amazonian Wonder Dog.
