About the Book

For Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Michael Traynor, there are only three things left to live for: Reclaim his good name; get back his self-respect; and...REVENGE. He’s been reduced to a non-entity; mandated by forces in the U.S. Government.

Viet Nam--l973. That’s when the shit started hitting the fan. Traynor’s reporting was first-class. Too good to suit some in the U.S. Government. Too close to something they didn’t want known. Word went out: contain Traynor at any cost.

About the Author

Mr. Bacos, a Chicagoan by birth, has lived in southern California most of his life. A graduate of John Marshall High School, he majored in journalism, continued his studies at Los Angeles City College prior to enlistment in the U.S. Air Force. Following military service, he returned to college where he switched his major to broadcasting and TV production. His career then took various turns as he advanced from page on the NBC staff to a junior executive position in public relations. In turn, he pursued other avenues of the entertainment business--as actor, record promoter, publicist, and personal manager for musical talent. Returning to his first love, he co-wrote and sold a full-length script to Batjac (John Wayne’s production company), created the pilot script and a season’s supply of story treatments for a proposed Blake Edwards anthology series, and received critical acclaim from Cecil Smith of the LA Times for “Night of the Piraeus”, a Kojak episode aired in its final year, as ‘Best of the Season’. Currently living in Hollywood, he has written his first stage play and added still another adjunct to a diversified career--novel writing. He is busily engaged in his third, relishing every moment.
