About the Author
I’m a physician in private practice that often travels to distant places for both work and pleasure. I grew-up poor in upstate New York and became “creative” at an early age (usually making something out of nothing) as studying in school came relatively easy to me and I found myself with frequent spare time. In high school I was encouraged to study art in college, and I did take several art courses (i.e. painting, drawing, serigraphy and lithography) and won several awards. Additionally, I was granted a scholarship in medical school to “the most artistically gifted student” in my medical school class—one of the top-ten U.S. medical schools, I might add. I’m an author of other books and articles and continue to dabble in “real” art during my spare-time at home. I’m also a private pilot and have traveled to almost 80 countries. Architecture and interior design, as well as gardening are some of my (many) additional hobbies.
