About the Book

A Year at the Lake is a journal of nature observations written over the course of 12 months at Houston Lake in central Georgia’s Houston County. A backyard naturalist, Kristina Simms approaches the subject armed with an English major’s somewhat less than profound knowledge of botany and zoology, a good sense of humor and lots of love for all creatures great and small.
