About the Book
The Story of Pearl: Cultured and Otherwise is the end result of a class on memoirs writing that Pearl Schiff taught for many years at the Sharon Senior Center in Sharon, MA, where she lived for over fifty years. With her inimitable wit and verve, Pearl relates her often hilarious (in hindsight) accounts of tenement life, her struggles as a young career woman, and her love and concern for her family. Pearl Schiff had a passion for life – not to mention a loathing for President George W. Bush - and nowhere is this more apparent than here, on these pages.
