About the Book

The Wheel of Inference is a novel about two loving brothers whose differing ambitions lead them into a deadly conflict with one another. Thomas relentlessly drives himself into investment banking with the help of dangerous men. Joseph aligns his ambitions with a “main line” old money Philadelphia family, who by happenstance, are using their money and influence to jail the very men who are financing Thomas’s dubious enterprise. Joseph tries to save his brother, but envy, greed and revenge work terrible consequences on their family. The novel illustrates the helplessness of familial love in the face of harsh human choices.

About the Author

Dr. Joseph F. Pittelli has published two books of poetry, namely “The Butterfly” and “A Book of Poetry”. Several of his poems were published in “The Prisim”, a publication of the University of La Verne in California. The “Wheel of Inference” is his first novel. Dr. Pittelli was a Professor of Business for approximately twenty years before his retirement from education. He previously received degrees from New York University and LaSalle University. He was recognized by “Who’s Who In The East” for outstanding achievement. He served his country during the Korean War.
