About the Book
Detective Lisa Spurlock, fortyish, widowed by tragedy, hooked on chocolate, pieces together the life of a young drifter whose body has been found at Lovers Point in Pacific Grove, California. She discovers that among the few people in P.G. who knew the deceased, hardly any are particularly saddened at his passing. With the forensic assistance of her friend Bobby Takeda and the questionable aid of amateur detective Don Thames (who has plenty of troubles of his own, including a taste for alcohol), Lisa works her way toward the truth, which is revealed in a fight-to-the-finish climax at Lovers Point.
