About the Book
Throughout her life, Dolores Kalisty has written poetry. This has always been her chosen way of expression. She delights in transforming the rhythm of words into a picture of words. Inspiration often comes from observing simple things in a different way. You will find a broad range of poems included in this book. Some are very simple; others a little more complex. She has been writing poetry since the age of eight and although most of the preteen poems have been lost, you will recognize some of her earlier works. You will experience the change of seasons, the look of nature, the joy of a child, the rapture of a pet, the feelings of people and even the fun of a game. You will see the nature of a rain drop or peacefulness of a scene, the growing of a tree or the journey of a river. There is sunrise and the look of beauty of the mountains, the symphony of the trees or the waves washing on the shore. You will look at this world and be touched by the quest of a small boy. You will see time in a slightly different way and learn to brave each tomorrow. All of this is created for your inspiration and enjoyment. A word can be given away But it cannot be taken back. The words that you will say And even those you lack But meant to be included Are uttered and no longer Yours to keep but are excluded. Others are now the stronger To decide where they are placed Or to act upon without disgrace.
