About the Book
It is 1500 France. The Christians are torturing and killing women and men thought to be witches. Lilum is a witch and refuses to disclaim her right to freely practice her religion. When Lilum is a young adult, she witnesses her mother’s death. She is alone until Zeah enters her life who allows Lilum to practice and pursue her religion. When Lilum takes a husband and they produce a son together, she feels as if her life is complete. Her husband, fearful of the Christians and the lives of his family, takes Lilum’s son from her. Lilum must find her son and when she does, she must find a way for her family to find religious peace.
