About the Book

The purpose of this book “Who Am I“is to teach our kids about our heritage. To remember the fight and struggle for an end to discrimination in employment, education and voting privileges. To know that our children can succeed in life to become what ever they want to be. It could be a doctor, nurse, lawyer, judge, teacher, what ever you set your mind to do, it can be done. This book also gives an illustration of our African American leaders both present and past. I want the information in “Who Am I” to teach our children the accomplishments of each leader and how they have impacted

About the Author

Felisa Lawrence born in Miami Florida June 24, 1964, the seventh child of twelve children has always dedicated herself to hard work and taking care of her family. Felisa has been married to her devoted husband for 22 years. She has lived a spiritually filled life since July 9, 1984, after giving birth to her son Travis. My three wonderful children: Travis, Telisha, Takiyah, Lawrence have become my inspiration and motivation to write this book. My words of wisdom to them are to always put God first, respect and love one another and to pursue a higher education. I pray that this book reach many homes and school to promote a distinctive appreciation for our African American leaders. Enjoy!
