About the Book
Bite Me describes the author's dark situational tragedy and comedy in freeform prose. Written over a relatively short period, the book examines themes in life including the corporate culture, the burgeoning lack of consideration in personal contact, and failure in all respects.
About the Author
I was first motivated to write poetry when I read the lyrics to Metallica’s “Black” album and various other music albums as a teenager. I’ve always wanted to create something as creative and passionate as the lyrics to those songs. I have collected many journals (my sisters give me one for Christmas or my birthday every year) filled with all my attempts. For the past three months I have been looking through those journals. Only a few made it into this book, the rest were written in these past months. They are based on true stories but aren’t necessarily autobiographically. They’ve been inspired by songs, movies, or by comments by the people around me. So far I’ve only had one person (Nicole Cravey) read all these poems and since she’s not a big reader or generally reads poetry, it means a lot to me that she enjoyed all of them. I hope you too will follow suit, and enjoy them as much as she did.
