About the Book
Back in 1979, Ira Korbman had it all going for him. He was an honors student on his way to Yale and possibly a career in surgery. But when he missed the two free throws that could have won his team the United Synagogue Youth state championship, Ira’s life changed forever.
Over 20 years later, Ira is an anti-social, self-loathing dentist. But that all changes when he reluctantly accepts the coaching job for Langston USY basketball. His wacky team of Jewish teenagers teaches Ira some important lessons – both on and off the court.
