About the Author

Ann Essance is an Evangelist, author, poet, artist and mystic. She is also a retired educator of more than thirty years, as well as an Ordained Inter-Faith Minister, Emeritus. She holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Southwestern University, in Lafayette, La. and St. John’s University, in California. She has a Master Degrees and Certifications in various disciplines, related to Education, Psychology, Counseling, Art, Poetry, Child Development, Special Education, as well as Religious Studies. She holds an Honorary Doctorate in Theology. She has been a student of Eastern Mysticism and is a graduate of the TM Siddhis Program from Maharishi International University in Fairfield, Iowa. She has served as a past Child Development and Parenting Advisor at the Children’s Museum in Santa Fe, NM. She has also served as an Art Educator for the Children’s Art Program at the New Orleans Museum of Art. In 1998 Ann received an invitation to work as a volunteer set-designer for the Santa Fe Opera. She has served on many boards, and is retired from both Louisiana Public Schools, as well as New Mexico Public Schools. Her art has been exhibited in museums, World Trade Centers, galleries and retreat centers in the United States, and she has received accredited reviews and awards from art professionals, and University Professors of Art. Her poetry has appeared in psychology journals, newspapers, magazines, books, and early childhood education journals and geriatric journals. Ann was born and lived in Houma, Louisiana most of her life. She is the mother of two grown daughters. She has made her home in Santa Fe, NM for the last twenty years where she continues her spiritual work and writing.
