These Words From God

About the Book

These Words from God is a collection of poems and songs that I have written over the last twenty nine years. I did not sit down to write these poems and songs. In most cases, I was in bed trying to sleep when the words began running in my head, I could not get to sleep until I had gotten up and wrote the words down. I say that God gave them to me because I believe He was the one that put the words in my head. I hope that you are blessed through reading them.

About the Author

Doug Haskins was born in Gardner Massachusetts, raised in Orange Massachusetts, and lives in Butner, North Carolina. He is the seventh of eleven children born to Elmer “Pete” and Bertha Haskins. He is a former Marine sergeant and a retired National Guardsman. He has been married to Linda Phillips Haskins for 40+ years. They have three daughters, one son-in-law and one grandson. He began writing these poems after being born again at a Lay Witness Rally, in Hookerton, North Carolina, in 1977. This is his first book.
