About the Book

The Gift that Keeps on Giving is a story of adventure and survival. Follow the life of a little boy and his family, as they struggle against the poverty and illiteracy of Uganda to improve the quality of their life. The Gift that Keeps on Giving demonstrates how a hand up can provide a chain reaction that will turn a family, a community, and a nation around.

This book is designed at a first grade reader level to encourage reading skills as well as interest in people around the world. A bonus section is included for parents/adults to learn more about the people of Uganda and how a child or adult can make a difference in a life.

About the Author

A native of Indiana, Cheri started writing stories as a teenager. She continues to spin tales for her children and grandchildren today. Encouraging them to see their life and the world around them with eyes of imagination. Cheri believes stories can edify and teach children as well as entertain. She shares her tales with children in her church and community, as well as around the world traveling to spread the love of her God. She hopes to show children, as well as adults, through humorous situations how they can have the ability to overcome problems. They can make a difference in the world around them through the love and power of Jesus Christ.
