About the Book
Casteron was a land of myth and legend, a place of majesty where noble kings sit upon golden thrones, and beautiful queens wear long gowns of silk and lace, a place where humble farm boys grow into heroic knights riding white stallions. Once that was true, but now a dark shadow looms over Casteron shrouding the beauty in darkness. A dark king rules the land sitting atop a throne of human bones. His name is Masgrothe and his power stretches across the land gripping the people with an iron hold of fear. Ghouls and Vampires stalk the night at Masgrothe’s command killing any who try to oppose the king. But he controls worse creatures than Ghouls and Vampires, the fearsome Ashen, demonic beings who feed from the energy of living things. Yet Masgrothe’s power is not absolute, there is one who has the strength to thwart him, the last living descendant of the greatest king Casteron has ever known. Centuries ago the beautiful princess Maris fled Casteron with a few of her most loyal guardians, her unborn child was the key to Masgrothe’s destruction and Casteron’s salvation. Jack is not the typical hero you might expect. He was born in England where he spent most of his life. One fateful night Jack is attacked by the blood thirsty Revenant, soulless beings that are the result of mixing Vampire blood with a human host. It is then that Jack learns the truth of his lineage, the nobility of his blood. Jack must leave the world of diet soda, soap operas and the internet. As a teenager on the verge of manhood Jack is thrust into a strange land of magic and myth. Jack is then befriended by a half crazed old man who claims to be a sorcerer. Jack must travel through Casteron being stalked by creatures from your darkest nightmares while he discovers the power of his blood. Under the watch of the old sorcerer Jack learns to unleash his dormant magic and take his rightful place as the king of Casteron.
