About the Author

John E. Adams was born in Washington State and spent his formative years in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. After a successful stint in the U.S. Navy, he traveled along the West Coast, working at a series of jobs in the construction, gold prospecting, and commercial fishing industries that allowed him to indulge his passion for nature and the outdoors. He eventually landed the position of Operating Engineer for Local 12 in San Diego, California. He enjoys scuba diving, horseback riding, camping, flying small aircraft, gardening, and designing and building houses and watercraft.
