Scotty awoke in the middle of the night in a cold sweat from what felt like a bad dream. But he couldn’t remember what the dream was about or why he was sweating. He readjusted the blankets, tucked himself back in, and closed his eyes to go back to sleep. Thump. Scotty opened his eyes wide at the sound of the noise in his room. He was afraid to move. S-s-s-cratch. Scotty hid under the covers. He was terrified. I should’ve said my prayers, he thought to himself. I should’ve listened to my Mommy.

About the Book
Scotty, a disobedient young boy, is very lucky and he doesn't even know it. He doesn't like to listen to his Mommy and waits for her to get upset and yell before he does what she says! But after an especially terrifying nightmare, Scotty realizes how lucky he is to have such a loving family, one who teaches him how good it is to listen... and even to pray.
About the Author
L. Nazario is a Brooklyn native, born and raised in Sunset Park. She wrote stories as a child and has fulfilled a lifelong dream by publishing her first Children’s Book, No, I Don’t Wanna! Having graduated from The College of Staten Island with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dramatic Arts in 2006, she has since aspired to have a career in film, although life has led her along an alternate path thus far… Being a person of faith, and one who does not easily give up on her dreams, L. Nazario hopes to publish more books and continue the track of fulfilling her lifelong dreams.
