Tessie’s adventures and characters were inspired by Eunice’s real-life travels, her family members, her pets and her best friend and travelling companion. Her imagination and wisdom, through her writings, are a delight to all.

About the Author

Eunice Pearl MacDougall was a woman of many endearing talents. She loved to travel and embark on new adventures - one of them being a hot air balloon ride on her 70th birthday. She had many close friends who loved spending time with this young-at-heart woman with the sparkling eyes and mischievous smile. Eunice was a musician, playing guitar and organ, as well as singing with Sweet Adelines. As a single Mom, she raised 3 daughters and gave them the gift of independence, the love of life and the ability to make their way in the world. Eunice loved animals and was a good mother to several dogs and cats over her lifetime. She was a painter of landscapes and whimsical subjects. She had the ability to listen and offer wise advice. She passed away in 2003 but lives on through her daughters, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
