About the Author

Born and nurtured in the ghettos of New York City’s lower east side, he rose from the ashes ascending into the realms of medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery. His life was molded by Italian immigrants, gangs and the gentle hand of caring Jesuits. His words reveal a soul deeply involved in a convoluted, sometimes bleak, pathway from poverty to a world of universal acceptance.
