About the Author

This book is written by Susan De Metz Lamberg. She was reared in Pass Christian, Mississippi. She became a registered nurse in 1979. She has two healthy, beautiful children, and a wonderful husband. She nominated her husband as the South Mississippi Hero after hurricane Katrina. I have always desired to write children’s book. After my father had a heart attack when I was a young child, I promised Jesus that I would serve him all of my days. During hurricane Katrina, we left our home in South Mississippi to seek shelter 70 feet above sea level. During the storm, we had to leave the home and go to another home and get into the attic. Like so many other people, we quoted scriptures for 4 hours and Jesus held back the waters. The storm motivated me. Jesus, inspired the book. I designed a plan at my elementary school to help children overcome obesity in a healthy way. I presented this plan to the National Association of School Nurses in new Mexico this year. I wrote an article on how to turn storms into calm waters and presented this, too. The goals of this book are to teach all children that they can overcome through the word of God which is our strength. I want to dedicate this book to all the children, no matter what ages, you are the Heroes!!!!!
