About the Book

The author´s intention in writing this book was to provide a positive role model and to teach those not interested in reading, that learning to read can enrich their lives in so many ways.

Summary:
Clara's mother sends her to spend summers at the farm of her grandparents, outside of the city limits of Chicago.
Her mother works nights in a restaurant and worries that their housing project is a dangerous place for a young girl alone.
These are carefree days, until a series of events causes her to lose her friends at the farm.
A new county library down the road provides Clara with a new and exciting hobby to while away the hours.

She would never again be lonely.
