About the Book

I want to show how two people meeting at a very young age and with very little support from adults and family locked hands and kept pushing forward. We persevered in spite of many obstacles, most of which we never thoroughly understood, and stayed together. We were really blessed from the beginning but we didn’t acknowledge our Creator until much later in our relationship. It was later in our life that we looked back and began to try and count our Blessings. It was regrettable after the fact to acknowledge Our Creator when we realized that all of the good times we had been gifted with had to be from Him. In summation, this is intended to provide our children a post childhood look back through time so that they may have a more comprehensive understanding of who their mother really was and how much she gave throughout six decades. It was her love and self-sacrifice that held our family together through all of our troubles. It seemed that it was meant to be and if there is any merit to soul mates finding each other, in this life, this was a profound example.

About the Author

F (Hajji) Cowan might best be described as someone who grew up very fast in the ghetto of Chicago and accepted the responsibility of a large family at a very young age. There wasn’t any arena for support so he had to make quick and serious decisions for the family, and Pray that they were correct. As time passed he was Blessed with the opportunity to spend almost 23 years of his adult life in a management capacity of several high volume and high technology manufacturing companies. This vast experience contributed towards his character and personality development. Through it all he developed a sense of humor and did not get down when things became difficult. That attitude seemed to permeate throughout the family. They say this will pass, but for me it seems like an eternal wait. I have not moved anything that belonged to her, since the paramedics removed her from this house, to go to the Emergency Room.
