Screams of the Soul, The Brotherhood of Death is a book written through the many experiences in the life of a raging dreamer. Brought out by deep emotions, and abstract thinking, the words, at times, seemed to have a voice of their own, developing into a complex style of poetry. At times, this poetry has been described as having an esoteric quality, and has elements similar to that of some of Edgar Allan Poe's works. Atmospheric descriptions and strong emotions are used to bring the reader into the author's world, in a sense, swallowing them whole. Elements from a mind, slightly on the edge of sanity, create a sense of the instability that is pure, unmasked emotion. About the Author

Lisa Skaggs was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina and grew up in parts of Texas and South Carolina. She graduated high school and entered the military, where she worked as a Medical Service Specialist. After receiving an honorable discharge, she began various jobs to support her two young boys, as she was a single parent. Remarried, she currently resides in South Carolina with her husband, and three children.
