About the Book

As you read, you will notice dates for every poem. These are there for two reasons. One being that I like to chronicle poetry and see the changes being made in life, or the lack there of. The other reason is because I wrote some of these as a very young teenager. I’m fairly proud of pieces that were written when most people thought I was just some youngin who doesn’t know what she feels. Never, never forget, most teenagers know their feelings better than they know the words to their favorite song. This book is about everything and nothing all at once. The ups and downs of love, life and just trying to be. You’ll find yourself in here somewhere. This is my Diary. Open it up.

About the Author

There isn’t much more to say about me than is already written in this book. As you turn each page, you’ll read another memory of mine. Most of the poems about people are people who live in my world. I dedicate these to you. Without you, I wouldn’t have the stories. I say that I’ve stolen a poem from everyone I’ve met in life. They just never knew they had it. This is my diary, my memories, my hopes, my fears, my happiness, and my anger. I’d like to write that I’m some sort of scholar, professor, even college graduate, but I’m not. This is my first published work, and I don’t have much to say in “About the Author” other than . . . I am just like everybody else. I hope you find one poem to which you can say “She must have been where I’ve been.” Thank you to my family, my friends, and my enemies for showing me every aspect of life. Thank you, God, for letting me write it down.
