Mission Statement:

“To do everything humanly possible to improve the quality of life of orphans from Ukraine, Russia and other Eastern European countries. To support those native and legitimate humanitarian organizations that truly help orphans and street children. And for our own organization to continue to be an honest, viable, worthwhile and responsible charity that will help these beautiful children become responsible adults and provide them with tools for the future”

What inspired this book?

In the amazing summer of 2000, we began our mission by riding bicycles across Europe to raise funds and world awareness fore the orphans of Ukraine. At the end of this journey, we worked at a summer camp for orphans in the Carpathian Mountains for ten incredible days. Although our ride is long over, our mission continues today.

Many thanks & blessings to “Help Us Help The Children” of Toronto, Canada, who have dedicated their time, energy, spirits and souls to provide incredible amounts of humanitarian aid & support to thousands of Ukrainian orphans since 1993. You have truly inspired us and for certain many others with your kindness, generosity and passion to help those so much less fortunate than ourselves.

Information about Ukrainian Orphans:

Many of these orphans will spend so much of their young lives living in these Government run Institutions. For the most part, they will receive inferior education and will generally fall behind in development compared to children in the general population that have mostly normal lives with a parent or parents. Most will lack the proper education to be admitted to the secondary educational facilities, or will drop out quickly if they were admitted. Too many youths will have nowhere to go once they reach the age of 18 and must exit the only home that most have ever known. A life in the streets is on the horizon for many of them. Maybe even a tragic life of crime, prostitution, alcohol and drug abuse. This is what we want to change and were our focus must be for the UOCFP. The kids we have gotten to know are approaching this age. We need to help them and make sure that they have a better future.
