About the Book

My book, Diary Of An Ever-Healing Heart, is what I would call a poetic storybook. Each poem I have chosen tells a story of a specific life event and the entire collection together creates a chapter in a life with a beginning and an end, a conflict and a resolution, and a tale of a hearts calling for acceptance. My story has its ups and downs but like most fairy tales, there is always hope for a beautiful ending. I hope you enjoy.

About the Author

About The Author (Robert Toshiyuki Morrell) I was born on the 11th of September in 1985. I didn’t begin to write poetry or even have an appreciation for it until I was a junior in High School. Of course in your late teens there are many thoughts going through your mind including what you want to ultimately do with your life, where you want to go to college, meeting new people, or finding a job that is going to help you pay for your necessities. While in this middle of all this you also want to enjoy your transition from late teen to early adulthood, but it can be stressful. I have to admit that these times were not very difficult for me even though I wasn’t always sure of what I wanted to do. I just knew in my heart that it would all work out. However, the one, I would call necessity, I had difficulty coping with was love. I needed a way to express my thoughts, but neglected the idea of a diary because I saw no fulfilment in it. I always had a talent for the arts and so I turned to poetry.
