About the Book
This is a story about the life of a man who through determination faced and overcame hardships and troubles in his life. With his strong belief in God and a deep love for his family he found many things were possible. We view his story through the eyes of his peddler friend. It begins during World War II and continues into the nineties. The peddler traveled Indiana for many years and in his travels came across many covered bridges. The picture on the cover depicts how beautiful they were to the eye.
About the Author
The author lived most of his life in Indianapolis, Indiana. He served 3 ½ years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he studied engineering at Auburn University in Alabama and at Lain Institute in Indianapolis He and his wife Doris have been married for over 52 years and have one daughter. He worked at many occupations but was a traveling salesman the majority of his working years. During his travels he met many wonderful people. This is the story of one of these people. He tells this story as he saw it, as a friend, who was by profession, a peddler. The author had felt the need to write this story for many years. Since retiring and moving to Tarpon Springs, Florida, he has utilized his new found luxury of time to doing just that – writing the story of a truly great man.
