About the Author

Lilly Ann Ingersoll is the Story Teller This new author of children’s book was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. At the age of four, her family moved to New Jersey. She attended Memorial Elementary School in Lawrence Harbor New Jersey. She graduated from Madison TWP High School in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Lilly is the third child and first daughter of Elizabeth James and the late Samuel James. She has seven brothers and three sisters. She now has three children of her own, two sons and a daughter. Technical sergeant Lilly A. Ingersoll served her country honorably for 20 years in the United States Air Force. She traveled several times around the world Ms. Lilly was the first African American female to serve on Air Force One as a crewmember. After serving Presidents and foreign heads of state, she retired from the Air Force. She moved to Orlando, Florida and became a licensed Realtor, she returned to college to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management form the University of Phoenix. For the past three years Ms. Lilly has enjoyed being a substitute teacher in Orange County Public schools. Her goal is to inspire students to take their minds on an adventure and read!!! This book reminds us there are consequences that follow the decisions made in life. It is wise for children to listen to their parents. This story is based upon her personal experience of being lost in the woods.
