About the Book

From some dim dawning of human intelligence the meaning of life and the identity of the physiological environment it inhabits has been questioned. This questioning has formed the foundation for the lore of mythology, the emergence of religious doctrines, the development of concepts of philosophy, and the discipline of scientific inquiry. And yet, the experiencing of life presents a great mystery.

The written work presented here is, in some ways, a sojourn of thought through some realms of this great irresolvable mystery.

About the Author

My place of birth is Jacksonville, Florida – 1922. My childhood and formative years transpired around the small resort community of Silver Springs, Florida. During World War Two I served for a time in the Army Signal Corps. Subsequently I entered the army’s pilot training program, earned my wings, and served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps. The war ended before I saw combat. At the close of the war I returned to civilian life, and studied art at the University of Texas in Austin. Most of my professional career was spent designing, building and installing commercial advertising exhibits and displays.
