About the Book

Small Talk portion contains quotations of children in my family as well as friends. Our family included five of us Petersons and their offspring: Einar, Helmer, Teckla, Opal and Hubert Dr. Einar and Olga - No Family Helmer and wife Dorothy had two daughters: Deana and Karla Teckla and husband Trygve had four children: Teddy, Barbara, Terry and Elaine Hubert and wife Melba had three children Mark, Lori and Todd My added family: Husband Arthur T. Anderson (deceased) Darwin (deceased) and wife Alta Glenn A. and wife Marjery (deceased) Children: Mark and Vicki Luoma) Talk Talk portion contains humorous and otherwise episodes of adults. My maternal grandmother Carolina Engman lived only a block away and could speak only Swedish.

About the Author

My name is Opal D. Edwards and I was born in Norway, Michigan on January 9, 1916. My parents were both born in Sweden, Otto and Cecilia Peterson. I graduated from Norway Michigan Norway High School in 1935 and entered the business world as a stenographer in Chicago, Miami, Appleton, Wi and back to Michigan in Iron Mountain. In Chicago I became an executive secretary and continued in that field until retirement. Had two marriages and my life extended into widowhood. Through the many years I have taken notes of children’s quotations also anecdotes of adults.
