About the Author

Leona Anna Vodak (maiden name) was born in S.W. Hillsboro, Wisconsin and remained in the area. Has lived in Union Center for 33 years, where she wrote her story. Her parents owned a farm. Being an only child, she had the precious animals for companionship, which reflects in her story. In 1980, she became a licensed Real Estate Broker. In earlier years, she cooked for the public in their own establishments, later operated small cafes. People still remember the fish, chicken fries, and chicken dumpling soup! Many chapters hint of her life and lessons. Very different story, “Brillian’s Island” has been started…
