About the Author
About the Author Alaric (F.R. Kauzlaric/Frank Laric) was born in New Mexico and has lived in California for most of his life. Before and after WWII, he worked in the movie industry, mostly in westerns. He also wrote country songs and dabbled in writing short stories, poetry and novels. He also did police work, was a founding member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, Inc., and operated a private patrol agency, Los Angeles Guard Service, for over thirty years. Frank always loved children and spent as much time as possible with them. He loved coaching them in sports, playing with the kids, and loved nothing better than to sit around and tell stories - real or imaginary. Among Frank’s better known songs were “Idaho Red”, “Along About Sundown”, “The Tick-Tock Song” and “The Tears That Fall.” Among books published were “Something To Cheer You Up”, “Poems For The Common Man”, “The American Vigilante”, and “Black Cola.” All were well-received.
