About the Book

Darrell Emerson is one of the top high school baseball players in the nation. He gets invited to play with the most elite summer traveling team in Alabama, giving him the chance to showcase his talents on the grandest playing stage of all — the Joe DiMaggio League. But once play begins, Darrell quickly finds out that it’s a whole new ballgame. Players, coaches, and parents alike begin losing their minds. All innocence is lost. Disheartened, Darrell must decide whether or not to stay. The trials of a troubled teammate set Darrell, and the team, on a new destiny.
